On July 5 2025, MAPA Sarawak successfully conducted a shooting training exercise at the Batu Kawa Shooting Range. The event saw the participation of 12 agencies under the umbrella of MAPA Sarawak.
The training was carried out under stringent safety protocols, with comprehensive safety briefings and close supervision led by Inspector Mohammad Nazrul from the Firearms Unit, IPK Sarawak.
MAPA Sarawak was greatly honoured by the presence of YDH Dato’ CP Mancha Ata, Commissioner of Police for Sarawak, who officiated the training programme. He was accompanied by Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) Dr. Parusuraman Subramanian, Head of the JPJKK, along with his Deputy, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dasuki Che Driss of JPJKK Sarawak. Their attendance underscored the strong support and collaboration between the Royal Malaysia Police and the participating agencies.
The event commenced with a welcoming address by Supt/PB Elvis Tulu Ayu, Members of the Standing Committee (AMP) of MAPA Sarawak, who highlighted the significance of inter-agency cooperation and unity. He was joined by Madam Shirin Jai binti Abdul Rashid, General Manager for Corporate Security, HSSE and also a Deputy President of MAPA Sarawak, whose support further emphasised the association’s commitment to operational excellence and partnership.
With active participation from various agencies, the exercise not only demonstrated the diverse skills and operational readiness of the teams involved, but also fostered camaraderie and a shared commitment to excellence. The event laid the foundation for continued collaboration and friendly competition in future engagements.
